Vantage Point is committed to making our virtual tours accessible to people with disabilities. We account for accessibility in the design and development of our tour platform and continue to improve the product as standards and technology change.

Scope

This statement applies to virtual tours produced with the Vantage Point tour viewer, including tours embedded on third-party websites. It does not cover third-party platforms outside our control, or content that clients supply on their own without following our accessibility guidance.

Our Accessibility Commitment

We are committed to:

• Meeting Standards: Designing our virtual tour viewer to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA for the Accessibility Tour and surrounding viewer interface.
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly testing and updating our platform for accessibility.
• Inclusive Features: Providing tools such as an Accessibility Tour, keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and accessible map menus to support diverse user needs.

We take accessibility feedback seriously, including from users with disabilities, and use it to guide design and development decisions.

Product capabilities

Our virtual tour viewer is built so visitors can explore 360° scenes, hotspots, and related content with accessibility in mind. Core capabilities include keyboard support for tour navigation, focus management for dialogs and popups, labeled controls for common actions such as scene changes, audio, and menus, and reduced motion when that preference is enabled in the operating system. When a tour includes an interactive map, locations and points of interest are available through the map menu with keyboard and screen reader support. Tours also include an Accessibility Tour: a structured text-and-image alternative for scenes and hotspot content, available from the tour interface.

Testing and Continuous Improvement

We conduct automated and manual accessibility tests on our software to identify and address potential issues. Regular reviews and updates help keep our virtual tours accessible as the platform evolves.

Known limitations

The immersive panorama is rendered with WebGL/canvas technology. Spatial content in that view is not fully exposed to screen readers outside the Accessibility Tour. Video transcripts may be available in the Accessibility Tour when supplied. On some mobile devices, browser pinch-to-zoom may be restricted by the tour viewport.

Accessibility of an individual tour also depends on content provided for that tour, including alternative text, video transcripts, and theme colors that can affect contrast. We encourage clients to supply complete, descriptive content so accessibility features work as intended.
